Want a shot at Vegas?!
Welcome to the New Monroe APA Website

Everyone Plays Pool In The APA...

Talk to your friends, neighbors, and co-workers. You'll find that they either play in the APA or know someone who does. It'll surprise you! Clerks, secretaries, janitors, lawyers, construction workers, doctors, waitresses, truck drivers, bank tellers, and even school teachers ... all play pool in the APA Pool League. Over one fourth of APA members are women.

The APA is the World's Largest Amateur Pool League with more members than all other amateur leagues combined. Nationally, the APA currently boasts over 250,000 members (and growing). 75% of APA members are beginner to intermediate players, meaning you don't have to be a Pool Pro to play. With the APA's Equalizer® Handicap System everyone has an equal chance of winning.

We are proud to offer our members an interactive Website with all the stats and features you've been looking for. Inside you'll find personalized Stats, Schedules and Division Standings; Chat with other members in our new member's only forum. Member's get access to special forms and features. Also this year we will be introducing several new programs to increase your enjoyment of the league. You will see programs the are designed to benefit your continued promotion and support of the league. Stay tuned as we make this our best year yet.

To get inside you need to have an email on file with the league office

Captains Can Play FREE!

Is it possible to be on 2 teams cheaper than on 1? YES! By becoming the Captain of both teams! We need more teams. A lot of people want to play, but few want the responsibility of being captain. So it’s going to pay!

Call your friends and put together two teams in Monroe County – both 8 Ball, both 9-Ball, or one of each – and your (Captain only) weekly fees will be given back to you at the end of the League Year. You must play all three sessions in a League Year to qualify.

No other promos may be claimed in conjunction with this offer, but FREE T-Shirts will be given to every player on your team (limit one free per person). This offer begins with Summer Session 2009, the beginning of the League year! Register your team right now! Use the phone, fax, or go online! www.MonroeAPA.com!

Hey Pool Players!

Are you looking for an inexpensive way to get out every week and have fun with friends? The APA Pool League is the answer! Call some friends and get together as a team now. If you don't think you know enough players, have two friends call two of their friends! That's it - it's done! It really is just that easy!

I'll even give you a FREE POOL CUE for organizing the team. Want more? I'll give the entire team FREE APA T-Shirts!!

So send in your roster to PO Box 2492 in Riverview, MI, 48193. Or fax it to 734-289-3322. E-Mail it even! Click on the link at the top of the page where it asks if you'd like to shoot in Vegas! Or click here to send us a note: http://monroeapa.com/forms/more_info.asp.

Why wait? YES, YOU CAN SHOOT POOL IN VEGAS! Anybody Can! That's the whole point of a handicapped Pool League vs. a non-handicapped League! Because of that handicap, Everyone has a chance at Vegas!!!!

Call your friends right now and get your rosters in! Use the link in the graphic at the top of the home page to register your team! Share it with friends, family, and co-workers!

Pass it on!!!

APA Singles Tournaments!

There’s more than one way to get to Vegas. The traditional way is for your team to win, but you can also get there through the Singles Program. For a $15 entry fee, you can participate in an 8-person tournament (handicapped). The winner of each 8-person board advances to one of the Regional Tournaments(NO additional entry fee). The Regional Event winners advance to Vegas, where the minimum payout is $200 worth of cash / prizes. Before I schedule some of these events, I would like to know how many players want to be involved, where you’d like the events to be held, and when. To participate, players must have at least 10 matches played in the last two years. Let me know if you want to participate! Let me know if you want to run some of these events!

Scotch Doubles and Jack & Jill Doubles!

Yet another way to get to Vegas is through the Doubles Tournaments. Typically, this would be a tournament which includes 16 teams of 2 players each with a maximum combined skill level of 10. I’d like to run these events monthly if there’s enough interest. As the event names suggest, the Jack & Jill Doubles Tournaments require one man and one woman while the regular 8 Ball Scotch Doubles Tournaments can include any two players with a combined skill level limit of 10. Let me know if you want to participate! Let me know if you want to run some of these events!

5 STAR SPORTSMANSHIP PROGRAM09/27/2007 8:29:51 PM
Sportsmanship is our #1 Priority.

In most APA Leagues, and on most nights, things go according to plan and the teams have a great time playing APA pool. We realize however, that occasionally there may be a player or even a team in the League that other players just don't like being around. Usually these players or teams get away with their actions way too long before we are able to take appropriate action. Members simply don’t like to complain unless the problem turns major.

With this in mind, the same Pool League that brings you fair competition with it’s EQUALIZER Handicap System, has now put into place a Five-Star Sportsmanship program designed to increase the fun you have playing in the APA.
